He earned his BA in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2003 from the University of San Diego.  From there he went on to work at the Scripps Research Institute under M.G. Finn as a research technician.  In 2005, he got a job at Invitrogen as a entry level employee on a small made to order manufacturing team.  He (as well as the company) has grown and changed titles a few times since then covering experiences in manufacturing supervision, project management, and technical leadership.  On top of the CPIM that he earned in 2013, he also is Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certified and holds a knowledge certificate from SME.

APICS has become a great partner in his career.  He has leveraged the excellent educational opportunities of the San Diego Chapter to elevate and standardize the knowledge base in his organization as well as drive higher performance from his supply chain which have driven down costs and increased employee performance and satisfaction.  He looks forward to his time on the board to draw people into this great chapter and help others understand the power of a standardized and optimized approach to supply chain management.
