The Logistics Basics program offers a dynamic instructor-led, classroom based educational opportunity for people that are early in their logistics careers, or people in other areas looking to expand their knowledge of logistics, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Participants will learn the core fundamentals of the field as well as hands-on approaches to addressing some of the logistics challenges an organization may face in a modern globalized business world.

Five 3-hour sessions (one per week)

  1. Introduction to Distribution, Logistics, & Network Design
  2. Inventory Management & Control
  3. Warehouse Management
  4. Packaging & Materials Handling
  5. Transportation Operations & Global Logistics

 

Who should attend?

  • Individuals looking to start a career in Warehouse, Logistics, Distribution, or who are interested in a base foundation before beginning their CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation & Distribution) course.
  • Professionals working in Logistics, or those working in positions that interact with Logistics - such as Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, Finance & Accounting, IT, Sales, etc.
  • Individuals looking for ideas on how to improve the overall effectiveness of their processes.
